barb madison & erin joyBarbara Madison founded Right at Home of St. Louis – a company now with over 500 employees – less than 10 years ago in 2004. A registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mizzou, Barb had worked as a long term care insurance agent, where she found that every one of her clients expressed a desire to stay at home in the event that they needed long term care. With the baby boomer population growing in age, she began considering the growing need for long term care services and felt motivated to do something more for this population.

Barb joined us in May 2013 to discuss several unique topics she’s dealt with since leading the charge at Right at Home of St. Louis, including:

  • How she created & continues to maintain a positive, client-focused company culture
  • Managing growth and competition in such a highly-competitive industry
  • Navigating the challenges and benefits of growth through acquisition
  • How she built a company infrastructure that supports her in leading, even with constant traveling
